About
The identity for 1990 Research Labs was built around the studio’s belief that the most valuable insights come from real conversations with people. I used the “99” in the name as a starting point, transforming it into quotation marks to represent dialogue, listening, and human perspective. From there, the symbol expands into a visual system that can frame insights, highlight quotes, and structure content across different materials. The colour palette pairs a deep green with softer, desaturated tones, balancing the studio’s technology-driven work with a more human, conversational approach to research.
